"GREEN Light, Red Light" for National Energy Action Month

Homes are responsible for more than 20% of the total domestic energy usage and are known to be incredibly energy inefficient.  As family budgets tighten and environmental consciousness rises, homeowners increasingly want to make smart energy improvements – but don’t know where to start. October is National Energy Action Month and Pro Energy Consultants’ month-long “GREEN Light, Red Light” campaign uses the classic childhood game as a means to educate families on the ‘dos and don’ts’ of energy, and how a home’s energy performance impacts the family’s overall well-being.

Energy Action Month is led by The Department of Energy (DOE) and emphasizes the need for people and communities to take action. In addition to providing educational tips, Pro Energy Consultants’ “GREEN light, Red Light” campaign supports the DOE’s mission by having a special emphasis on fun and easy ways to get the entire family involved in preventing energy waste.
